I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue: I'm trying to register my copy of TimewARP 2600 by Way Out Ware, and when I get to the final step (pasting the registration code into the VST's activation dialogue box), Sonar crashes.

Happens every single time -- four times in a row, so far. On the last go-around, it generated an error report that was sent to Sonar (the first three times it did not, for whatever reason). Anyone else experience this? I'm running 2016.11 in Win 10 Pro 64.

I had to go into my back-up software, and fire up Reaper to get the plug-in properly authorized, and now its working in Sonar.

Thanks,

Rob

it has been a LONG time since I installed TimewARP 2600, but I seem to recall that I had to register it in the stand-alone version. You might give that a try. I know I've suffered Sonar crashes when registrations have not worked quickly enough for Sonar's tastes<G>!

AND, I think you are going to be really happy with this synth. I own, and still use, a hardware 2600. There is very little I can do with the hardware that I can't do with the software, and tons I can do with the software that I can't do with the hardware. While the two do not sound identical, that's to be expected with a hardware device that is over 30 years old, and no two of the beasts sounded exactly the same even new.

This is my favorite synth emulation!!!

Thanks! Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do.
