I am trying to learn about side chaining and am interested in setting up a compressor on the bass track to be triggered by the kick. Here's a snippet from a Sound on Sound article:
The sense of separation between kick and bass can often be further improved by rigging a 'ducker' on the bass channel — that is, a compressor whose side‑chain is triggered from the kick‑drum track. Whenever the kick hits, the bass dips in level to make more space for it. A level drop of around 3dB still sounds pretty natural. Can someone explain or point me to a link as to how to do this in Sonar Platinum please?
