Thanks scook.
A clunky retrograde step in my view.

I'll admit it was a bit disconcerting for me as well, especially since they stuck in the Notes pane, which I may never use. Being able to dock it separately is OK but they should have at least allowed you to view the extra controls without needing to Undock it. Otherwise, I don't really see any real benefit to changing a feature that many people like myself use constantly.

OK, after testing the WASPI driver update, I'm a very happy camper. This makes it truly possible to pack a Rocksmith cable, my trusty MiniLab and the Laptop to go. I've never had any success with the onboard sound card until now. It works flawlessly. Again, kudos. It's stuff like this that keeps me a happy Cakewalk customer.

If you are using a rocksmith cable try using WASAPI exclusive. You will get even lower latency typically since it will go down to a buffer size as low as 3 msec. Of course round trip latency depends on your audio hardware itself but it should be very usable with just the cable and stock laptop audio.
This can be super useful when you are travelling and need to do a scratch track.

cool
Thank you. But... no actual and critical bugfixes. Again. Busses still not selecting on click, and any clip fx causes crashing after export audio. And more. More :(

I love many of the new tools and features Thank you!. Please please can we fix the Editing (drag drop/ delete whole ect..)  I would like to request a huge improvement to the automation. Its really clunky  (very slow) hard to use I think it needs to be simplified. I preferred when the lines of automation were all "on" the track not in a lane. Can we go back to that like 8.5  or have an option for both? Too many clicks back and forth. Lane don't open up full screen its really a cumbersome. Thanks :)

I prefer it too... (Envelops over audio)

You can still do this by changing the edit filter on the track to envelopes...

I think the thing that made the new synth rack ok for me is the ctrl-shift-s command to toggle the rack open closed. I don't leave the browser visible as I don't need/use it. I prefer the synth rack for selecting my synths and I use the menus within the fx bins to select any needed fx... Not a big need to drag and drop things for me...

Melodyne Studio 4.1 Multitrack Support: If you own Melodyne Studio, in addition to other Melodyne 4.1 features SONAR now supports Studio’s multitrack workflow. This makes it much easier to work on multitrack projects because you can edit multiple tracks simultaneously, as well as view one track while editing another.

Thank you, thank you sooooo much! I can't begin to explain how relieving it is to finally be able to use melodyne studio to it's potential inside SONAR.  Thank you!

Hmmm...

Now I'm noticing something feeling a little buggy with the synth rack.

If I float it and use ctrl-shift-s to toggle it open and closed, all is well...

...that is, until I re-open the project and find the synth rack has been forced open and docked to the right. If I dbl-click on the header, it returns to the floating settings I left it with but I must do this every time I open the song...

Not fun... Think this needs bug report?

Why change something from one keystroke to open to three??  Bizarre.
I've done a keybinding to 'A' so I can still have the synth rack open with one keystroke.
