Well that had me going for a while. A couple of restarts and it seems to have sorted itself out. I reckon Windows must have been running a few updates in the background or something. All is forgiven. 😎

Delete Hole still broken.
Copy/paste Melodyne clips still crashing the whole DAW to desktop.

Whole new system build, same symptoms as on previous OS's and old hardware. Utterly sickening, lost a whole project tonight to this dross.

I feel your pain!

Every time I call up Melodyne I get queezy.  It was crashing my audio system (causing the RME UCX to loose its internal clock) in addition to crashing to desktop. Had occasional blue screens. Happened whenever I had two edited clips.

I loaded Melodyne editor 4.8.0 into Platinum 22.08 build 30 and it seems to be able to edit more than one clip right now without burping. I tried copy/paste and it seemed to work. So be sure to update your Melodyne.

BTW, I had a huge Melodyne rant in this reply that I deleted. I am not happy with Melodyne but I saved the rant for later.

Interesting, hadn't considered that the UCX might have its clock messed up. I noticed that once I get one crash after a failed attempted copy, the whole system is flaky after that. Usually I end up resetting everything. I'll keep a closer eye on the UCX next time it happens.

OK I've read the eZine but I can't see anywhere how to dock the synth rack back in the browser, like it was before. The eZine implies the synth rack can be docked in the browser "Now the Synth Rack can live in the Multidock all by itself, or in the Browser."

Can anyone give me a clue how to do this?

Like others I'm finding that change a little frustrating.

The synth rack docks in the browser like the help module. It is no longer a tab in the browser. When opened if synth rack is floating, drag it to the browser to dock it there.

OK, thanks. That's an unfortunate change for me, I have the browser undocked on a separate screen, mainly for the synth rack. So I'll have to swap that out on all my projects and only use the synth rack, so losing some functionality I had before.

I hope other users are finding a lot of benefit in this unusual UI change, has only negative impact for me.

You can still float the browser and add the synth rack to it. The only change is the rack will be stacked above or below the browser tabs. This is incorrect, when the browser is floated, the synth rack will not dock to it. Correction based on the discussion below.

Thanks for your help, how do I do that? I'm trying to drag the undocked synth rack to the undocked browser, but that doesn't seem to want to work.

Also the synth rack seems to be docked whenever I open a project, it doesn't remember that it was undocked?

I should have tested first. There is no way to stack the browser and synth rack when they are floated. I thought there was a way.

There are some issues fixed in 2016.12 one of them is

Synth Rack would not display correctly after reopening a project in some conditions

I believe this should take care of
