Hi, I'm experiencing some issues while recording through my microphone.  It seems to sound similar to some kind of flanger FX, even when I'm not using any FX at all.  I'm recording on Sonar Professional with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd Gen. audio interface, LyxPro XLR cable (Brand New), MXL 990 Condenser Microphone.  Whoever decides to help, I do have a recorded audio sample for you to listen to.  I can email it to you.

Hi, and sorry if this is obvious. But have you tried to turn the mic around the other way? Could you be singing into the back of it?
All the best.
Edit: I have done this before.

I tried turning it around to see if there would be a difference, but it continues to do it still.  I thought it was my microphone being busted or something so I tried my live instrument mic.  Same issue.  Then, I thought it might be my xlr cable.  Just bought a new one, no fix.  I also tried plugging my 2i4 into a new USB slot and that didn't do anything either.

Make sure it is NOT in a USB 3 port. it might still work in that port but will cause unstable conditions.

Flanging is often caused by Phasing issues.
Now this can happen Electronically or Acoustically.
Electronically might be you have input echo on.
There's cross talk in you signal path.
Headphones bleeding back.

Acoustically the room is reflecting an out of phase sound.

Fixed!  Thank you, for helping.  Turns out, it was because of my sampling rate...It was at 48k and it needed to be at 44.1k.  Not sure why, though.
