As usual the response and help obtained through posting threads just blows me away......Thanx everyone!!!....Yeah im not a man with much patience.......ill check that book out though, and play around with this zeta synth a bit.......i just added a m-audio finger trigger pro drum pad/step sequencer to my set up, mainly so i can jam beats rather than having to build and audition beats........The hardest thing ive found working with midi is actually just trying to find the right click tempo to suit a acoustic guitar written song that has pauses and slows down and speeds up etc etc Its really a big fat headache.......its ok if you start with a click and build the song from that........but trying to make a square fit into a circle aint that easy..................And cause as a multi-instrumentalist the hardest part of over dubbing every instrument, is the 1st 2, drums and guitar for example........You kind of have to play to a click on guitar so you can go back and play drums......but im actually about to attempt to break the rules, and lay down tracks on acoustic 1st, and then use drum pad to jam out the beats, and then record real acoustic drums to that........And yes the main draw back i know about not working with a click is editing...........anyway.......this thread was ment to be about zeta, so ill stop rambling.................Yes its the unfreindly looking interface that turns me off zeta.......but thanx guys ill take all your advices and tips, read the book, and ave ago mate!!!!

Maybe this is the answer to the click track dilemma!

How To Create Easy Tempo Maps in SONAR with Melodyne 4

Thanks to Melodyne’s advanced tempo detection and SONAR's powerful ARA drag-and-drop integration, your projects can now follow a live recording’s tempo. Simply drag a standard audio clip (or Melodyne region effect) to SONAR’s timeline, and SONAR creates a tempo map that follows the clip tempo.

FYI: this feature is not available for SONAR X3. Only SONAR Artist, Professional, and Platinum

So once you drag audio map to change tempo map......is it just a matter of the addictive drums now, for example will follow ?....or is there more

and yeah being a jethro tull influenced flute player that also is influenced on guitar and bass by hendrix, nirvana rhcp etc etc......hopefully i will come up with a cool hybrid sound......Dirty but funky, but folky...acoustic instruments mixed with electronic

Addictive Drums has a "Sync Tempo" button.  When activated, it should follow the project's tempo map.

But wait, there is more!  Optional, of course

You can also create your own tempo map manually using the "Fit Improvisation" function.

To use this command, you must record a reference track containing a single clip that matches your original track or tracks but has only a single note on each beat boundary. You should make sure that the reference track has one event for every single beat, with no extra beats or missing beats. The first beat of the reference track should be at 1:01:000. You can use any editing command to adjust the reference track.

And here's another trick for Groove Quantizing with AudioSnap. Extracting MIDI timing information from audio.

Having fun yet?

And since I'm no expert in these topics, just know enough to be dangerous, suggest you head over to the Techniques forum and start a new topic to address any specific questions you may have about these features.

Yeah abacab, that really opens up a world of possabilities, i was watching another craig anderton video last night also, going on about all this stuff.......its just really awsome......yeah that definately evaporates some of my frustration, for years ive had 2 different lots of material, songs that i wrote on guitar that i couldnt fit to a click track, and songs that i wrote over a loop that did fit to a click track....................So this new information definately will be the bridge
