Hello,

I'm having trouble getting the audio metronome to work in Sonar X1 Studio.  I just bought the software (as an upgrade) and, during day #1, the metronome worked fine.  Then, mysteriously, it stopped working and won't make any sound.  Even if I create a brand-new song, it doesn't sound.  I've made sure that it is activated up in the transport module.  My Echo Layla is working fine and plays back audo in X1.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated,

Does the MIDI metronome work? Try changing it to MIDI, instead of audio

Mike, you nailed it.  My metronome wasn't set to output anywhere.  In case anyone else has the same issue, here are the steps to fix it:

1. Go to Edit / Preferences
2. Select Metronome (in the Project section)
3. Under Audio Metronome, there are three settings: First Beat, Other Beats, and Output.  Check to make sure that Output is not set to None

What version of Sonar are you using ?
You might want to leave some details (Windows OS, Sonar version, exc).
Bumping old threads (I saw your other comment as well) Isn't going to be very productive either.
Start your own thread with as much info as possible and we will do our best to help.
 
Make sure you don't have it muted or the fader turned down.
