What really matters is that X2 is the patch that made it all better again!

X1e, (Expanded) was a paid update. IIRC it actually preceded the 'd' update for the non-Expanded version of X1 which was a little confusing:

Yes the version management became soooo difficult to, er, manage, especially when trying to offer advice.
