I know this is probably a long shot, but maybe someone here still uses the SW1000XG with a PLG150 plugin board and can help me!
 
I recently built a new PC with XP to resurrect these great cards, and I cannot get the PLG150 to work, mainly because I have mislaid the system exclusive messages I need to use to get it going. The manuals don't seem to be much help, and the websites I probably found them on originally have been lost in the depths of google results. :/
 
If anyone has any idea how to set the PLG150 up with the SW1000XG I'd love to hear from you.

New hardware will not work with these.  My SW1000XG become a doorstop even in an Intel 915 chipset which only ran singe core Intels.
 
 

That's okay, because it's on not-new hardware. :) The SW1000XG is running perfectly, it's trying to get the PLG150 enabled that I'm struggling with. :(
