I have been out of the midi drum pad controller loop for a while since i purchased my M-Audio Trigger Finger way back when.
 
It has supported me  through Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Now some of Windows 10, but a recent update in Windows 10 has stopped my Trigger Finger from connecting properly with Windows 10.   I now receive a message that the Trigger Finger is connected to USB 3.0 and mist be connected to USB 2.0   My Trigger Finger has always been connected via USB 2.0.   Re-installing the legacy driver, which was meant for Windows 7 doesn't work any longer.
 
I need to know what other Drum Pads, (not keyboards), others are using with Windows 10 and Addictive Drums 2 in Sonar Platinum?

Pick up an old MPD-18 and hotrod it with some parts from mpcstuff.com

Korg nanopad2. I wish it was a little more sencitive, but works well, and the editor is a breeze after the monstrosity of the Trigger Finger's Enigma.
 
I also have a trigger finger back home, but I couldn't get it and my Sound card to appear in cakewalk at the same time. IT had been trustworthy up until that point. That was on windows 7. I had ditched my MAudio FW1814 after ditching firewire, which  was allways unstable despite 2 machines both have a Texas Instruments Firewire chip. I haven't sold my Trigger finger yet, but I can't see myself ever getting it out here if its still having driver issues.

I'm using an Arturia Beatstep. It's got great pads and a lot of bang for the buck.

How is it fro triggering low velocity, for soft playing? Just watched the demo on the site and the guy just triggered samples, so gave no indication of the dynamics of the thing.
 
One thing I like a lot about the Nanopad is scene options. I set up one scene to focus on bass drum snare and hats, with a variety of different sounds for each available. Another scene for with access to the toms, so I can quickly jump to playing different parts of the kit, whilst having a varity of sounds for each kit available.   I use the other two scenes for playing meldic and harmony stuff.

I've also wondered about getting a second nanopad. I'me not sure how windows will like having 2 of the samee device running.
 
I recently purchased the nanokeys, but found out last week that the Vietnamese red ants like the taste of the rubber contact points it uses and have eaten away is functionality. Just had to repair the contact rods on my WX5, as they like chewing on them too.

I use mine with AD. Mapping it is a breeze. It comes with a MIDI Command Center application that allows for the customization of the pad CC. I'm not sure about how you'd set up two scenes. I just have my pads mapped to the primary sounds for a typical rock drum kit. The pads are great in my opinion. The ability to control dynamics is why I chose the Beatstep. Previously I tried an AKAI MPD26 pad controller, which was to stiff for my playing style. After that, I tried the M-AUDIO Axiom Air 25 with pretty much the same result. I got the Arturia, and I haven't looked back since.
 

Tim     Do you have the BeatStep or the Pro? The videos I've seen make it seem like a great addition.

I have the Beatstep. I thought about the PRO, but for now the Beatstep is just fine for what I'm doing. One other thing worth mentioning it that it has the ability to be configured as a control surface as well. That mode gives you 16 pad / buttons and 16 knobs to control software.
