"Now I Wonder" is my September 2017 song. It was inspired by the sound of the song "Last Lover Standing" in the movie "Not Fade Away. The Lyric was inspired by the thought of guilt, when taking something that you never should,

Cheers, Terry

Today I find my self face to the wall
The heart I took has made me feel so small
And as your on your way to give him news
I stand here head and hand and so confused

Chorus

Now I wonder how it's gonna end
Will you stay him, will you stay friends
I know that he will wanna stay of you
It's something that I know he'll wanna do

Last night may be the reason that you stay
It's him or me is all I had to say
And though I may end up with pain of heart
It's what I should have said right from the start

In my heart I know I don't belong
It's him and you, and you and me are wrong

Hey Terry -- nice demo of your song -- as usual, you're able to capture a sound that has a nostalgic feel about it without being overly derivative.  Liked the keyboard riffs in the verse.  A nit for me is that you don't change up much for the chorus but hey...  !!

I enjoyed it - a cool pop/rock song.  The double on the lead vox worked well.

Maybe the Cubs will come back - down 3-1 - not impossible

It's pleasant! I think the vocals sit very well in the mix.

A few mix thoughts fwiw? The bass guitar seems chopped off below maybe 150hz? I think you might want more bass g information coming from lower. Same with the kick drum.

The piano patch is nice and chimey but if you were looking for a sonic upgrade, what you've got is a very basic general midi kind of piano sound, and there are some pretty cheap upgrade options for piano these days, like even Addictive KEys and such. What are you using (probably Addictive Keys  :)

I'd agree that a bridge or something could add interest, maybe give the splashy high hat a rest for a spell.

cool tune! I'd say it's got one of those "earworm melodies"  . . . and your vocal has a kind of "sneer" to it, reminds me of the Clash or something British punk.

cheers,
-Tom
