Dear all,

I did not updated to version 2016.11 yet ... and I am reading various issues about this update.

Can someone explain what is going on? Is it "safe" to update or better wait for a fix?

Thank you.

Giorgio

If you search the forum you'll see the issues.  I experienced random crashes myself yesterday doing a vocal session.  I may roll back if there isn't a patch.  I reported all the crashes so hopefully that helps.  Also, my key binding to my Delete key keeps failing.  I have to re-bind every session.  Never seen this one before.  And take lanes were very flaky as well.

Most are doing fine, some have had issues. It is either system related or a feature change that you might not even use. Seems the new Lenses is the big change.  So your call, I'm waiting myself because nothing in the release changes my life. But you can download and install and if something does go wrong roll back.

I ran SPlat quite a bit using 2016.11 on Sat and Sunday. No problems.

I am on Win 10 64bit using 64bit SPlat and ONLY 64bit plugins.

HTH.

I tried the new version and experience some issues, so I rolled it back to last month's version... i guess it wouldn't hurt anything if you wanted to try it if you understand how to roll back the new version if it doesn't work as expected.

I had issues with 2016.11 and still have them after rolling back to 2016.10.

Same experience here. All is well. As to the OP:

Update, restart a couple times, try it...if no problems, continue using. If problems, roll back.

All of the updates from the past 6 or 7 months have a copy-paste bug that behaves erratically when copying MIDI data from one track to another track.   I think the last version that does not have this crucial flaw was released around April, 2016, version 22.7, I think.

Copying and pasting are essential, core operations regardless of how one uses a DAW.   I hope this bug receives the highest priority.  In fact, wouldn't it be great if Cakewalk devoted one entire release to nothing but bug fixes...

Same thing here. On Friday I couldn't do anything without crashing. But worked for hours on Saturday and Sunday with no issues.
