Also, my key binding to my Delete key keeps failing.  I have to re-bind every session.

Are you using a lense by any chance?  I noticed that if you're using a lense, every time you change your key bindings, you have to save your lense for those key binding to make it to the next session.

Of course, make sure that "Save Changes for Next Session" box is checked in your key binding preferences

Whatever issues I did have seem to have miraculously cured themselves

Same experience here. All is well. As to the OP:

Update, restart a couple times, try it...if no problems, continue using. If problems, roll back.

Same thing here. On Friday I couldn't do anything without crashing. But worked for hours on Saturday and Sunday with no issues.

is a little strange, i never had any crashes or ca2a, lpmb/eq or rapture plugin issues like others are having, but straight after installing the latest platinum update performance seemed to take a dive, i thought no, all the good work recently with regards to performance/load balancing etc is out the window, made a post about it here somewhere, then went back and rebooted (something i never really do, apart from shutting down/starting up everyday) and all was good. in my case unlikely to have anything to do with windows 10 updates as some speculate, as i have had windows 10 updates turned off since july, still on 1511

2016.11 is running fine here, so far.   Win7 and all...

All of the updates from the past 6 or 7 months have a copy-paste bug that behaves erratically when copying MIDI data from one track to another track.   I think the last version that does not have this crucial flaw was released around April, 2016, version 22.7, I think.

Copying and pasting are essential, core operations regardless of how one uses a DAW.   I hope this bug receives the highest priority.  In fact, wouldn't it be great if Cakewalk devoted one entire release to nothing but bug fixes...

2016/9 update only had 2 new features and the rest devoted to some 60 odd fixes.

Yes save changes is checked but I'll try the save lens trick...

Another thing to try if you do happen to be using a lense, is to deselect "keyboard Shortcuts" in Lense Manager for that lense

I've got the disappearing custom key bindings issue and haven't even opened the lenses feature yet.  Will play with it tonight.

No other 2016.11 problems.

I started out fine with the update -- not thrilled about the Synth Rack being hidden away on launch, and a bit irritated that it doesn't remember where it is supposed to be when I open a saved project -- but that aside, it seemed fine.

However, over the past day or two I've noticed a sudden increase in the number of crashes. Sonar shuts down without warning and vanishes every now and then. No error message, just poof! its gone, and I have re-launch it. Sonar will have no memory of the previous project I was working on, and I have to open it from the Files menu. It's also really irritating that Sonar doesn't remember my preferred workflow setup. Every time I re-launch Sonar (either after a crash, or when re-opening a saved project) all my windows and views get crowded together on the same screen, and I have to break out my various windows to their original position. Also, things like the Navigation view (which I have never used) now appears on launch or recovery, and the Time Ruler will have various formats showing (usually MBT and HMSF). I prefer only MBT showing on the ruler. These are all minor things, I suppose, but I have to be honest and say that when piled all together they get a bit irritating.

I'm admittedly a bit finicky, and I like things a certain way, and right now Sonar just won't remember where all my stuff goes. Having to re-build my workspace every time Sonar crashes is not nearly as fun as it sounds. I'm planning on rolling back to the previous build and seeing if this patch gets any updates or adjustments. At the moment, 2016.11 is just not working for me.
