Probably the most SONAR-like of all the alternatives out there, even if it's missing a few things. A good choice for those who don't relish the learning curve of a new DAW.

That said, using it for a couple weeks made me appreciate SONAR all that much more.

Have to agree Dave. Samplitude reminds me more of Sonar 8.5 than the X-series.
But I slowly have been getting it. Kraznet's video's have helped a lot. I just hope they don't charge
an arm and a leg for the upgrade next year. Even if Sonar is rescued I have a bad taste in my mouth. I took advantage of the Tracktion offer, Magix offer and I even went today for the Presonus offer with the JRR shop
group buy. Figure with the group buy taking the price down to $125 and I brought the Sonar Platium upgrade from JrrShop I shouldn't have a problem receiving my license. JRRshop has my electronic receipt. Figured it was about time for me to learn a few different DAW's and for under $275 with some Paypal credits I got three to play with now :)

I added both Samplitude and Studio One to my menagerie of DAWs and I am loving Samplitude. It loads up ridiculously fast on my system. Studio One takes forever to load up.
