I try not to be a hair trigger - too much.
I have always had success with the monthly updates. Even the pre-releases.
November 2016 update had to go, sadly.

I did not update Melodyne to 4.1 yet. A problem (pet) project that was the melodyne crash dummy file of
last summer won't load in the November update without crashing upon load with a 0xc000005 in SonarPLT.exe.
No dmp file created either.

Other projects that never had melodyne load fine and play.

I had to go back to October for that problem project to load and play.
If I get the opportunity, I'll update to melodyne 4.1 and give November a try again.

I also was alarmed that the synth rack was gone from the browser. In a pinch I went view, synth rack and "Oh there it is!"  Ok.

I had a few roll back versions that were my favorites, as far stability, usage, exc.
But trust me, Nov is running strong here. there might be a few tweaks in order but I respect your opinion to roll back.
but Give it another shot when you have some spare time
(Spare time: like we all have a whole bunch of that hanging around :-)

But I kicked the snot out of 2016.11 in the past few days, dong midi, audio, automation, mixing, mastering and it worked great.

Oh that. Yeah I read that. Still alarming when you actually see it.
