What is the alternative to Lifetime Updates?

As for the alternative to lifetime updates, for me I guess it will be dying.

Just wondering if leaving Plat for life to my heirs in my last will and testament is a violation of the Cakewalk license???

and to my eldest son I leave the following serial numbers .....

(jealous looks around the library table)

Just assume Sonar belongs to 'A n Z Music Co.' Does Cakewalk ever knows whether a serial no. is used by a company or an individual.

I imagine museums of the future with cases holding " a copy of the email containing the earliest known example of a serial number for Cakewalk Sonar Platinum" or "the serial number of the oldest example of Sonar Platinum in continuous use "
