Did not intend all this drama to unfold....Sorry it did...But not much I could have done after my post #3.....Which I truly thought would end this thread...alas, it didn't..........

Hi - I do think folks were just being playful, and not even directed at anyone - just some silly moments :)

There are countless things about Sonar and music and life that I have no clue about, and I have edited out posts before for myself that squarely fell into the DOH end of questions.

In any case - glad you sorted things out.  :)

Project this morning was\is fine, all 24bit. I need to re-record the 16bit tracks I found and move on.

If you like the takes, I don't think you need to re-record them. I bet no listener would hear any difference if you re-recorded them. There are circumstances where 16 bit resolution can compromise the sound quality, but what you're describing isn't really one of them.

As to the thread, I don't see any drama. Actually I see a consensus that "stupid" questions are encouraged. Frankly, I got a chuckle out of the thread title and your subsequent edit, I thought it was humorous so people probably keyed into that.

It's all good. I started a thread once about "my stupidest pilot error" either here or on HC, I don't remember. It got a lot of participation.
