I really like the new Synth Rack. However, checking it out on my laptop I noticed a problem. I opened a project one of the tutorial projects called instruments platinum. It loads a number of synths into the synth rack. By default the synth rack is toward the right. I prefer in the multi dock. I dropped it there. It showed only three synth because that is the size of the multi dock view. Scrolling down It only a few of the synths that are loaded. Resizing the view fixed this but when put back to the smaller view size it would now show the few it did before.

This is on a laptop with a small screen 12.5 inches.

I loaded the same project on my desktop and got the same results. It appears that when docked in the multi dock with a small view 3 synths or so it jumps from the top 3 synths to  the bottom 3 synths without showing any of the ones between. For the synth rack this is a major bug I would think. I don't think the rack is otherwise inhibited. It would appear to play all the synths inserted in it.

I should add I really like this release.

Thanks for the report.  We'll look into it.
To confirm, are you saying the view is no longer scrolling properly?

Correct. It bugs me  that you got to the point with so few words. LOL

I just tried this out on a project with 6 synths in the rack.

I tried the synth rack in the browser, un-docked, and in the multi-dock.

With the synth rack in any location, when the rack window is sized to show only 2-3 of the synths, the up/down arrows in the vertical scroll bar cause the view to jump all the way to either the top or bottom of the list.  No scroll.

However, grabbing and dragging the scroll bar up/down works, as well as clicking on one of the synths in the rack (in focus), then using computer keyboard up/down arrows works.

i dont understand the point of the new synth rack view.  It automatically pops up OVER my project and I have to dock it every time.  It is getting annoying.   Why is it not in the browser tabs anymore?

I think you did a better job of describing the issue.

Before 2016.11, when using a default screenset, I had the synth rack view available as a tab in the browser.  Now I have to go to Views> Synth Rack View, to open it up.  In my case, it then opens at the bottom of the browser pane by default.  This is even the case with older projects that were created with 2016.09.

None of the included lenses include the Synth Rack View shown by default.

If I save the project with the synth rack shown in the browser, it remembers it, but I can see no way to open the synth rack from the browser pane now.

It appears to have been completely removed from the browser, having it's own docker properties now.

The new synth rack is really a step backwards for me....

I can see how some may feel that way. However, I like it because I am more use to the synth rack as it was before the X series. Being in the browser has always seemed to me a bad idea. I like the ability to have it as a separate view.
