Just an FYI.  The Independence 70GB download is not in the Help/Download Instruments & Sounds menu.  Only the Independence program is downloaded.  It seems you can only download all of the samples for Independence though the program itself.  Set it and go to bed as it will take many hours.

The bounce dialog in Samplitude is under the Tools menu (Tools -> Track Bouncing).

I think that's Sonar's menu. Samplitude's is File->Track Bouncing. It has no "Tools" menu.

For clip bouncing:
Clips = Objects, which is rather confusing to me.
Clip bouncing = Freezing.
Bouncing several clips into one = Gluing objects.

Not nearly as simple as Sonar's right-click->Bounce to clips.

I just tried to open Sonar after closing Samplitude and Sonar crashes right after the splash screen shows.

I set up key binding for a quick [ Shift T to select all on the active track ] and then [Shift G to Glue] - This is actually faster than using the track pull down menu to bounce in Sonar. The track editing is crazy fast and accurate using Samplitude. My biggest problem is getting used to the mouse wheel in Samp. I'm constantly trying to navigate the track view vertically.

Independence is installed from the Samplitude Help menu "Download Instrument & sounds"
Once installed, run Independence to get the option to install the 70GB library.

Thank you very much Steve. So I have to have good internet bandwidth for my DAW PC?

The instrument is not very large. The sample library though is 70GB. I have a pretty fast connection and the files were not served anywhere near my connection speed. It took 20+ hours to get the sample library.

So I will try to download the Instrument. Is the Free one the same? I had downloaded before.
Is there any other way to download the Library separately?

The free one is not the same. The library is a separate download. The opportunity to download the library happens when the full version of the sampler is run.

Is it even worth to download Independence and it's library? I've read that it's not even close (sound wise) to the quality of Kontakt instruments/libraries/NI's Komplete etc (which I have)... I also have SampleTank 3 with about an 80GB library which I rarely use.

Just wondering what you guys think of the quality of sounds/instruments in Independence?

If you already have sample libraries, the Independence download may be underwhelming to you. I have not drilled into it very deeply, but did not find things I didn't already have and I do not use Kontakt. Biggest downfall is that 70GB is an all-or-nothing thing, no ability to pick and choose.

Definitely download at night and go away from the computer. I found that just using the computer starts to throttle it (even with no other internet usage). It came up full throttle for me at 2AM EST, but before that was choked to around 200KB/sec.
