Don't know what to say, but I'll grab the latest release. Have been using the RC with only one computer so far.

Thanks, Craig. I appreciate any help you can give.

The reduction to a crawl/freezing does seem worse when opening works that were started in older versions. There is an issue as well with trying to double-click to open soft synths from synth rack. So far, this freezes Sonar 100% of the time and I have to shut down and restart. Loading soft synths  takes a really long time when opening older tunes.

The main concern with new works is the weird spread across the 8 threads until it settles down (a few moments). I'm not sure that this slows down the computer yet (though it may). I can open soft synths in new tunes just fine.

I believe it supports whatever chipset your computer uses (Realtek, IDT, Intel, etc.).

This kind of sounds like WASAPI supports only onboard chipsets (right?). Does WASAPI support interfaces that reside outside the computer (like the RME BabyFace)? Does the connection type play a significant part?

Thanks for all you do!

I'm not an expert about this, so the following may or may not be true...but I think that the SONAR WASAPI mode is for internal chipsets only. I tried using it with external audio interfaces, and the results were about the same as MME.

Outstanding release, and e-zine. What a great resource this is. Craig I know it seems like your efforts are taken for granted, but I just wanted to say how excellent the e-zine is as an accompaniment to each monthly release. Especially valuable with a release with as much "stuff" as this one. Thanks Craig! Thanks Bakers!

I'm guessing that it's only for onboard chipsets as I'm not getting any sound whatsoever when I turn it on (I just had a chance to try it just now.) It seems that the latency (if I could have gotten it to work) would have been roughly the same or a tad slower than my Babyface running on ASIO.

And please allow me to join the chorus in thanking you for the e-zine. It's very cool.
