Boy, I hope the final is not the same as the early access. I've got major hassles (a few, it would seem). Mainly, this edition has slowed my 4.5 gHz quad i7 machine to a complete crawl. It seems to be freezing left, right, and sideways. Sometimes it comes out of the freeze, sometimes it just stuck in unresponsive mode.

Where do I report the issues?

you are not alone, a relatively small project which worked/played prior to latest update without issue, now stutters and jerks, and has been visited by the rice bubble brothers, snap, crackle and pop . . . big time. do more testing with a fresh project, but doesn't look good atm. was just about to look seriously about coming back to sonar, but now i don't know, this is what i hate about the constant updates, you just never know whats going to be broken next month, and yes i know you don't have to update, but of course in the end you do bummer

[edit] sorry to say you are on your own again it seems as mysteriously as it turned up, it has gone, (only thing i done was the magical reboot) everything is working just as it was prior so far, and will hopefully continue as such. i like a few things in this new release

I recommend doing what I do with Mac OS updates these days...stay on the current update until you get the "all clear." Of course the difference with SONAR is you can roll back easily and keep on working. I still haven't figured out if there's a way to roll back a Mac OS update. If anyone knows, clue me in...

Clearly if more than one person experiences the same issue, there's an issue. But if a far greater number of people don't report an issue, then it means there's some kind of specific fix that needs to be tracked down and applied.

Cakewalk has been pretty good about nailing these either in the next release, or in some cases, with a hotfix. That said, it's working fine here so I can't offer any suggestions. However it did take a couple reboots for everything to get happy.

Will WASAPI support multiple Audio Card?

This kind of sounds like WASAPI supports only onboard chipsets (right?). Does WASAPI support interfaces that reside outside the computer (like the RME BabyFace)? Does the connection type play a significant part?

Thanks for all you do!

I posted some more information here.
WASAPI will work with any device that shows up and works in WINDOWS itself. I've tried it on several pro audio interfaces as well such as an RME UFX and a MOTU. With pro audio devices you may also need to set the device latency independently in the driver control panel. Until I did that I didn't get low latency.

Hi Noel,

Thanks for the note. When you say that one needs to set device latency independently, what exactly is one looking for? Setting the latency in the driver panel is easy enough, but are you saying that we are matching the expected latency of the WASAPI driver or...?
