I decided to try melodine, i used guitar for an experiment.....yes i could see the guitar in melodine, and when i clicked on it, yes the meters in sonar and in melodine reacted......but no sound........yet if i just pressed play in sonar,yes sound.......So anyone have any idea why?

What could you see in Melodyne? You say the guitar. You mean the blobs that turn red if you click on them? What did you click exactly that produced no sound yet moved meters? Why do you not want to "just press play in Sonar" if that gets the result you want - hearing the material? I use Melodyne and pressing play to hear what I'm doing is normal. Have you tried moving the blobs around to change their pitch or timing? When you press play in Sonar after moving the blobs do you hear the changes? Hearing the changes is the end goal.

When you click on the blob, hold the clicker down - don't release. I think it takes a second for the blob to play and you have to hold the click down as it plays. I'll double check that at the studio this afternoon.

Ah ha, no mate i just figured it out......it wasnt holding click for a bit...i had record still selected on the track in sonar.....as soon as i unchecked record i got sound in melodine......thanx mate for your input....awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
