I wish someone could figure out how to code VST's to fit in the pro channel.

this is entirely up to cakewalk, as all vsts expose their parameters to the host app...
it's up to the host app what to do with that info
just check a host that has gui/non-gui ui options (reaper or acoustica,  for example)
pro channel hack requires some kind of custom gui code however, so there's that

Imagine a world where any plug in could be turned in to a module.

it's here now! it's called "VST" and you can use them in sonar's "fx bin"

Would be a life saver here as most of my set up is using PC templates.
With PC templates, everything is loaded, all EQ, modules (FX).

You can use project templates and/or track templates to save and recall any amount and combination of tracks and buses with all their fx, ProChannel and VST.

Especially with small producers, I think cakewalk should interact more and assist them more. Pro channel is a selling point for Sonar as far as I'm concerned. More options would make it more appealing. What was the last PC made, the Hoser? That was last year, has anything come out this year.

High and low filters along with VU meters has been requested and Klanghelm was put forward. Then Klanghelm added low and high filters to it's VU. 2 birds... As well as make it resizable, one of which fits the PC spacing

At least allow them to be inserted into the channel as a fly out option. Especially for the larger ones.

Can you fit  "Modules" in the FX bins ? where everything is stacked in neat rows with the buttons/knobs right there for ease of use ? didn't think so.

I can visually see 4 PC modules at one time in the Pro channel. What about VSTS ?
how many can you stack in the FX bin and have them open to reveal their buttons/knobs ?
2 if your lucky.

Imagine a world where any plug in could be turned in to a module. that would be awesome.

When it comes to third party PC modules, it takes two to create them. Is there any evidence that Tony Frenzel has expressed interest in creating plug-ins for the format?

For whatever reason, Cakewalk has chosen not to expand their PC offerings either. Both the LP EQ and LP MB could have been created in PC format.

This is a brilliant idea.

my memory may be failing me, but some time back wasn't there a thought/discussion or something like that, that the pro channel itself was perhaps going to be discarded? i remember something along those lines, again my memory may be failing but i seem recall reading a discussion around it. it could have been 18 months, 2 years back, maybe pre membership, or leading up to the membership model, around that era.

the flyout idea for 3rd party stuff is a good idea
