Highly recommend you work through the tutorials. They will help you get up and running really quick.
But to quickly answer your question.
You need to set the input of your audio track that you want to record onto, to your mic input.
You need to set the output of your track to either the master bus or your main outs.
You need to arm the track (the red dot button on the track.)
You need to enable input echo (the button to the right of the record button looks like a wifi broadcast symbol) in order to hear what you are recording.
You should be able to hear your mic at this point and see your meters move.
You can now use the record button on the transport (near the now time display) to start recording.
