Definitely agree to the above sentiments. Having (or ability to print) a hard copy has gotten lost in technology. Easier to read, carry, markup, etc. Every time I write on, dog ear or use my monitor as a coaster I end up needing a new monitor for some reason.

I think the best we can hope for is that Cakewalk will improve the help files and indexing. It takes time for a book to be published and distributed and that makes it unable to be be current.

I vote for electronic.  Do you have a strategy to address the rapid rate of change and feature additions, Scott?

Hm sounds like a lot ebookers here.  Call me old fashioned but I prefer the print version.

Still working on it. Actually, you guys really need to check out the advantages of ebooks. Tablets are very inexpensive now and ebooks are great because you can basically carry your entire library around with you. In addition, you only need to purchase one copy and you can then put it on all of your personal devices (including your computer) using the free Amazon Reader apps.

On top of that, ebooks are searchable, just like any electronic document, which is much easier than trying to thumb through an index. And they usually cost less too.

In the meantime, go grab free subscriptions to my YouTube channels. As soon as I get enough people signed up, I'll be posting new videos... very shortly now...

+1 to E books. Our family has had the Kobo's and a few Kindle's since they first came out. We now have the Glow versions which are great because they are backlit so you can read in bed with the lights out. As you get older that back lite and you can make the font huge is a big plus.
I prefer the dedicated e reader over a tablet because they are optimized and the batteries last over a week. They start at $50 That's not much to pay for what can become 1,000's of books. Much lighter on your lap too.
I still read real books from time to time and I now find the print too small and they are hard to hold on to.

Yes, I forgot about that. Ebooks allow you to customize your reading experience... change the font, the font size, the color of the page, etc. You can also tap on a word to get the definition, add bookmarks, etc.

I have the X3 Power ebook.  The search function is great.  Always used the printed version for past Cakewalk Sonar editions.

I've always loved books, but definitely will stay e-book only going forward.  Except maybe for cheap paperback novels.

It's amazing how many books you can shove into a tablet or laptop and it doesn't get any heavier
