I know it's been said before but man it would be nice to be able re-order synths in the synth rack!
What would be even nicer though is to be able to select a track in TV and have it highlight the corresponding synth in synth rack.
One more thing that would be nice I think is if the name in synth rack would change when naming a track (like it does in PRV).
I don't know about you guys but I'll sometimes look at my synth rack and see 4 instances of Kontakt (or Aria or Alchemy, etc) with the same name because I forgot to label them after naming the track.
I have no clue what that would entail for the bakers (or if it's even possible) but it sho nuff would be nice!

Highlighting of synth if open browser there - good.

Naming of synth in rack if renaming track - not good - would inflict when using multiple tracks to one synth.

Best solution would be a field in dialog when creating synth - what to name it and base name of tracks created at that time only(midi and outs). Then they live their own lives, happily I might say.

I recently had a project where I had a couple of Kontakt 5 1 synths and a single Kontakt 5 2 synth. I think the most annoying bit for me is that if you rename the synth on the track view, the name in the synth rack does not follow. Being able to reorder the synth rack might help that, but it won't fix the problem. There is a fundamental disconnect between the metadata in the synth rack and the tracks.

I can understand that - if using simple instrument tracks - then there is a one to one relationship.

But as soon as there are multiple midi tracks pointing to the same synth, and that synth might multitimbral too, you certainly want names on midi tracks that describe instrument it targetet depending on midi channel etc.

And the same with audio outs, you don't want that - unless simple instrument track.

But again, you can have a checkbox in wizard dialog to tell you want to link naming, and a field what to name them initially as well.

Right especially for things like kontakt and multi output drums. I'll have a kontakt instance for orchestral strings with cello viola and violin set to output on different audio tracks that are named cello viola and violin. Which one of these should the synth rack choose to follow? Same with multi out drums named bass snare hihat etc.

Okay forget the naming thing...I use individual instances of simple instrument tracks so it would be a convenience for me but a bad idea for some...cool...but how about being able to re-order the synth rack and highlighting synth when selecting a track?

Yes, more capabilities for Synth Rack would be very useful.
