Background  - I taking jazz lessons at the bass institute  with Cliff Engel and I am in the process of learning 50 standard jazz songs on bass - so as I learn and memorize I record and have fun with it 
 
I played the bass  - Muted trumpet on Dimension Pro - Organ sound n Dimension Pro I played the a keyboard controller 
 
- used drum and Piano sounds from Band in the Box - put it all together in sonar Plat

I vote recommend away!! Its practically  legal everywhere now

The background barroom sounds are a distraction, does not make it any more jazzy especially as they are not applauding the clever licks.  It does feel very ridged for Jazz.

I agree need more ornaments my instructor always says - could be swung a little - hard to swing slow - working on it -- Thank you for listening and your advice -- hope all is well with you!

Hey Paul, this is a good start.  I have to agree with Wookiee that the bar noises do not add to the piece, it's a distraction.
 
nice walkdown bass.  could use some more "stuff" in it.
