how compressing.  Sonitus knows where he is?

J Bridge is great, and allows me to use VC 64 with no issue.  I really, really love the VC 64 on vox.  I can pull up one of several go to presets and it sounds fantastic for my voice.  Just a few little tweaks to the compressor and I'm in.  I cannot duplicate what it does with other plugs.  It has a special mojo I really love.

I am totally with you on this.

The VC-64  is one of a very small number of 32 bit plugs that I still use and I cannot get a similar sound for vocals by any other method, and believe me, I've tried!!

I used a lot of his plugins as well -  and being from Denmark I did a little research.
Here's copied from a danish newspaper:
"Da han var i 30’erne, gennemførte Larsen en uddannelse som elektroingeniør, og sammen med Rune Ravn fik han omkring 2005 succes med et firma, der lavede computerprogrammer til musikindustrien. I 2008 valgte de at stoppe samarbejdet efter nogle uenigheder om virksomheden."
Basically it tells that Torben and his business partner Rune started a company together in 2005, but in 2008 had some disagreement about the company, and stopped working together. I think this was more or less the end of the whole development thing. maybe he kept on for a little while, I am not sure.
And sadly, it seems that he is now in prison actually.
Please note: I am only basing this on articles from danish press, but feel quite confident that these are the facts).

"The guy" would be Danish plugin developer Torben Kjaerhus Larsen, who vanished without a trace in a manner suitable for a TV mystery.

It's been suggested that he'd died or been murdered, gone mental or been imprisoned. Pure speculation, all of it. I'm going with alien abduction.

Unless the aliens control the Danish press and published a particularly heinous cover story, and assuming there wasn't a guy with the same name, he's in prison.  From what I've read  the story is more suitable to "Dateline" than a TV mystery.

There were a few threads on KVR dealing with the issue, perhaps qannaq could verify the accuracy of Google's translations of the article.

...Voxengo had this exact same plugin on sale as a Channel Strip! The GUI is butt ugly but it appears to be the same plug. Sadly, it is still 32 bit...

Voxformer v2 is indeed 64 bit.  I occasionally use it on vocals.

I used to use Voxformer a lot before the Pro Channel made me lazy.  Hmm...come to think of it...I was using it as part of my mastering chain in WaveLab for quite a while.

Uh...never mind all that...

I came here to say that Voxformer is not a reskin of the VC-64.  It has a lot of the same functionality, but lacks the flexible internal routing.  VC-64 is a reskin of the Kjaerhus Golden Audio Channel.

As I recall, the Kjaerhus (non-free) stuff had some sort of license server type setup that made the software useless after their servers went down...(or was that someone else?).

I have no problem admitting I have emotional attachments to some of the older plug ins.
Sonitus Delay is one of them. it resembles the same characteristics of the old DiGiTech RDS 1900's.
Had a fixed 15Khz bandwidth and 8 bit digital sampling. This can be fine tuned in perfectly on the Sonitus Delay.
