Neither Sonar 8 or 8.5 is made for Windows 10. Your problem may be that you have to run Sonar 8 Producer Edition in
Windows Compatibility Mode. Right click on your Sonar icon and hit properties, click on the compatibility tab. Check the box that says "RUN THIS PROGRAM IN COMPATIBILITY MODE FOR" and choose Windows XP. I can't remember if Sonar 8 was ever updated for windows vista or windows 7. But I'm fairly certain it should work for windows xp. And the if the USB port you are trying to use is a USB3 hole... focusrite has listed a problem they are working on.
