As Chuck said, if coloring is being done, how much coloring is actually being done that it will effect the outcome of you mix?

I wouldn't worry about potential colouring too much. the benefits of having a 2nd pair of speakers attached and to be able to switch between them by far outweighs that.

also, you should be monitoring your reference material through the same monitor controller => speaker signal chain and any potential colouring will become irrelevant.

My 11x10 room is pretty well treated. Can't see my Axe-Fx rig or E-kit. I have to move things in/out to beat back claustrophobia!

Nice !!!

How is the raven working with sonar ? Did they updated their own soft to work with sonar or you just using like a touch screen ?

And the twin usb , is it powerfull ? Did ya already maxed it out via usb ?

Thks for sharing

Thanks! I am much happier with it than I was with either keys/mouse or AlphaTrack. With the Control Bar at the bottom, and the transport, screensets, markers, and custom modules by my right hand I can move more easily than ever. I don't move from it much. There is still no software. I guess that's a ways away - but I am quite happy as is. If only I could draw automation and select tracks with touch.... Should by chance Slate bypass support for Sonar, I will try out SOP 3. It is fully supported with Windows and Batch Command software. I haven't used my software code yet, so it's an option. I don't want to learn a new DAW. No, no, no, no, no. But I see the tremendous capability of this beast - and I will use it one way or another.

As far as my 'floating' Twin USB is concerned - I LOVE IT. I also have a Duo in the box. I have yet to do a project I had to freeze. I also use some other really good plugs (Slate ,Fabfilter ProQ2, etc) that keep me from UAD overload - that and disabling loadlock in the software. Current project has 41 plugs including a Ampeg Pro3, Massive Passive, and Fatso. DSP at 70%. Then, there's the Console app I like a lot during tracking AND mixing. I have a small Jam2 speaker (I use to check mono/stereo to mono like from a phone) I can switch back and forth to as well as control volume w/o leaving the screen. With the trim adjustment I have for both sets - without leaving the touchscreen. HTH
