I'm getting a "You are currently running in Demo Mode due to a problem with activation.  Please contact support, (8,-99)" message when starting up Cakewalk.  Of course when I hit the "contact support" link and "email customer support" it reads "Under Construction  We're sorry, this part of our website is currently undergoing maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try back again later."

Anyone else run into this issue?

Is it Sonar Artist/Plat you're having this problem with?  Your sig says you're on Sonar 8.5 PE!

Thanks for the link Scook.

JonD, I mostly use 8.5, but I'm having the trouble with "Cakewalk by Bandlab."  I've had it for a little while (long enough to get my shirt and mug), but not very comfortable with it.  This isn't the first issue I've experienced with it.

I just got the same message as the OP. I've been running Cakewalk by Bandlab since it started and just today, that DEMO message popped up and I can't save any work on my current project.

BandLab assistant says it's up to date as well.

Not sure if I missed it, but didn't see a fix in that link Scook posted.

I contacted support and followed their instructions. I was able to get it going again. I closed cakewalk, logged out and closed out of bandlab, logged into bandlab as administrator, and logged back into bandlab. At that point i was able to run/install an update for cakewalk and i was good. I tried the first several steps several times, but was not successful until i installed that update (which was not in the support instructions).

Thanks Pete, I'll give that a shot tonight.

I tried that to a T (a few times) and still showing DEMO mode. Quite annoying .
Fortunately, I have Sonar Platinum which opens up the project without issues. I'll contact support.

Thanks again for the tips.
