In speaking with UA Tech Support I'm told this problem is a timing problem, and I don't remember the details (I'll try to dig up the email) but it has something to do with the say UA  asks about resources and Sonar reports them. Their suspicion is that the same mechanism causes the crashes.

Please do try and dig up that email. It might help to post it here in case Noel does check in here.

This is a known "well documented" on going issue that I wish Cake/UA would get resolved for their customers. I actually think it is more in Cakes court, as it only seems to happen in SONAR and only in the last couple of years. Never happened in earlier versions of SONAR (SONAR 8.5, SONAR X1,2,3, etc). If you can't delete multiple UAD plug-ins from a SONAR project without crashing said app.....then that is a BIG problem.

Could not agree more on all counts...

I've reported the audio dropout issue to both Cakewalk and UA, but I haven't been able to reliably repro this deleted plugin causes crash... how many plug-ins do you delete before you get  the crash? From the video it looked like three. If I can find a way to reproduce it I'll add on to your bug reports.

Maybe I'm naive, but I think both companies do read their bug reports. I think bugs get prioritized by how many customers are affected, and it feels like Sonar users who use UAD plugins is a small number, partly because UA still does not support, officially, Sonar.

Anyway, let me know what  I can do!

Worked in the DAW all day yesterday. Not one DISABLED message.

Previously I did press submit for the UAD error report send whenever I got that message.
