Confirmed, the cakewalk of the CA 2 A is imo the best
emulation of that hardware
The lifetime upodates deal and the CA2A for free .......,
I´m curious about Cakewalk´s  business idea ,
how they will generate money in the future.

I've been a very firm supporter of it. I think it is remarkable. To think they are giving it away is even more remarkable.

FL has been giving lifetime updates for as long as I remember and they've been making money just fine.  I think though Cakewalk is going to have to focus on what the driving market for at home DAW's is, and so far they seem too content focusing strongly on guitar players.

Shame it is no longer available as free download ( and that was very short limited time offer Cakewalk for those who don't get to this forum very often ! )

That´s a good possibility .
but sure there are new features and products
in development by cakewalk, not only the Sonar for Mac version.

That was quick. For those that took advantage of its a great deal. I bought mine when it first came out. I suppose the point is even though it was free for a brief time it is still worth getting at the regular price.
