I also bought the Presonus Faderport 8. I read that Sonar doesn't work that well with it but Studio One does. So I bought into the JRR group buy for the full version while it was still available.

Studio One seems to be a very popular choice on this forum.

I'm making good progress with it so far. The Faderport will be here Tuesday, so yay I'll have motorized faders !!

I used the free version of Studio One before buying SONAR.  It's a quality DAW and I love how simple it is to get started with it.

I bought a copy of the artist version, they sent the prime version, and I had nothing but trouble with it. However because so many people like the program, and I wanted the faderport 8, I decided to give the Pro version a try, and I'm glad I did because it's a lot better and all the problems I was having with prime, went away.

I'm loving Studio One, it's a breath of fresh air. I feel like a traitor, but I already prefer 90% of it to Sonar, which was my only DAW for the past 10 years.

I'm feeling the same way about Samplitude X3.
I also got Tracktion Waveform Ultimate Pack with the Cakewalk discount really cheap. I figure I was liking the
BioTek demo and for a song I got the whole deal.
