1. Beatscape - still the best REX player out there but only 32 bit.
2. Project 5 - never really used it but it was cool looking.

I'd much rather see them produce modern, up to date versions of these products from scratch. As for Beatscape being the best REX player out there, well I think Geist probably overtook it on that front many years ago.

Seems to me that elements of Project 5 could be incorporated into the new DAW. But again, it's something that has been overtaken many times over by such programs as Ableton Live and Bitwig.

No, don't go backwards move forward.

Sharke Correct they were probably good programs but nothing compared to what we have now.

Let's stop being geriatrics and live in the now the past is the past.

I`d rather they spent time improving what is already there and fixing the many long standing bugs.

I'm hoping for Cakewalk Pro Audio.

The difference is that Cakewalk's flagship DAW program has a large and loyal user base.
Not so much with these other programs.

I'm with you on Project 5. Why not open up the back catalog when the shop opens again ? As is, and without the overheads of support. Maybe a retro bundle along the same principles. I think it has potential. Then again I proudly promote myself as a Neo-Luddite :)
