I don' think it has anything to do with the screensets...

The problem existed long before screensets were introduced into Sonar. However it is possible that the use of screensets somehow changes the behaviour of the CV window in such a way that masks the problem.

The same thing has happened with me for many versions.  I also have dual monitors.  I'm constantly having to resize the height of the console view after adding an icon to a track or bus in the console view, or opening a project.

The only thing I can think of is something went funky in the template I use for most projects.  When creating something with a blank template, the issue doesn't manifest itself.  I've recreated my default template from scratch and haven't had the issue since.  You may want to try that.

I hadn't thought of that.  Great idea.
I guess any songs created with the template will be forever resizing?

I assume so, unless you try copying and pasting all the clips into a new project with a new template.  I don't know where the corruption occurred, so not sure if it will follow along with the copy / paste - but it's worth a try.

I wonder if an option/value could be added to the initialization file to stop the height resizing?

Do both monitors have the same resolution?

in my case, yes - they're identical.

Yes 2560x1440.
It happened when I had my previous monitors as well.  1920x1080.
I can't remember if it happened with my 1600x1200 monitors or not.  I think so, but not completely sure.

open your template and try re saving it again as a new template with a new name.
especially if the templates are from older versions of sonar, even same versions, many updates later.
this has solved the issue for me.
