I have a major issue with the update of kontakt 5.6.1 in sonar x3 producer.
I used the service center to install the update of 5.6.1, it failed.
Now I can't use kontakt in my projects anymore.
Does anyone have a tip, what I should do?

Hi. Others will know more about this, but try to uninstall Kontakt, reboot and re install. You might even have to download it again, in case your download was corrupted somehow.
When done, do a vst re scan (Preferences (P), File Vst Settings)? If that does not work, maybe try to do a vst reset, followed by a re scan.

Thanks for you option. It's just getting worse..
I uninstalled Kontakt, and try to re-install it, but I ended op downloading a free version on the NI website, because trying to reinstall from the installation disks would work.
Absolute disaster, as we speak, i am downloading some kontakt-driver,
allready sent an email to the helpdesk of NI---> am praying for a solution---

You should be able to download Kontakt from your NI account. 

I agree with John that you should be able to download directly from NI.
But instead of installing from disc, try copying the discs to your HD before installing.
I have had issues in the past when installing directly from older discs, and got into the habit of copying before installing. Could be worth a try.

You might take a look at their new account management software called NI Access.
 
It seems to do the job, and seems to be a replacement for the Service Center (I think).

Ok, i tried to re-install by downloading from my NI-aacount (tx for the great tip)
And I entered the serial number etc etc.
But I get a runtime error if i try to open the stand alone version.
If I try to run it as a vst in sonar, it doesn't recongnise the kontakt when I rescan via vst-plugins..
...any other suggestions?
 
ps the runtime error says, the program can't be opened because api-ms-win-runtime|1-1-0.nl is missing on your computer. U can solve this problem by installing the program again.....

when was the last time you ran windows update ?
specifically the C Runtime ?

Apparently you are running a Dutch version. At lease all reference to is in Dutch.  

ps. also installed NI acces (the new control service centre software) and it shows that kontakt version 5.6.1. has been installed succesfully, ......but still not working
I guess it has something to do with the runtime thing
