A few years ago, through a link on this forum, I got the EWQL Orchestra Free Edition. I've been using it with all versions of SONAR including Platinum on my Win 7 machine without issues, but it won't install on my new Win 10 machine. Has anyone had this problem and got it resolved? I get an error 1721 during the beginning of the installation.

How did you run the installer? It's possibly a privilege level issue. Try running it from a Command Prompt started with the Run as administrator option. I don't have it myself, so this is only a guess...

I don't see an option for running as Administrator in Windows 10. I shift right click and get an option to run as a different user, but no admin.  I disabled the User Account controls per installer instructions, but that didn't help.

Right click on the installer, click on properties, click on compatibility, select run as administrator

Run as administrator is grayed out, but the option to run in compatibility mode for previous versions of Windows helped, so thanks!
It did not install though, because the Pace Anti-Piracy installer came up and I'm not sure if it can cause issues in Wind 10.so I skipped that step and it interrupted the installer. I thought I had been able to skip the Pace on Win 7, but maybe I'm mistaken. It's been years. Is PACE OK? I remember people freaking out over it back in 2009-2010.

PACE is iLok anti-piracy protection.

I know what it is, I just don't have anything else on my system that uses it and thought I was able to skip it on Win 7, but like I said, I could be wrong. I'm just trying to avoid causing problems with my new system. Hopefully it's ok because I really want to install that Synth/Library.

I just read a few of old threads (including my own- LOL) regarding this PACE thing. I'm just going to install it. It's been so long that I didn't even remember going though this before.

I am running the iLok License Manager on two Win 10 PC's without issue.  I understand that some folks dislike anti-piracy protection, but iLok no longer requires a hardware key.  It is no more intrusive than the Cakewalk Command Center or the Adobe Cloud Application Manager.

Thanks!! I couldn't install it anyway. When it gets to the PACE part of the installation and I hit OK, the installation fails and I get an error message. I'll contact East West tomorrow to see if they can even help with such an old thing.
