I have a project with a z3ta+ synth which I recorded a few months back.  There was some automation in the track (specifically of the filter 1 cutoff, but I don't think that's important).  I opened this project recently (a couple of updates since I last opened it) and I find that the synth doesn't follow the automation.  Is this a known issue?  This is in Platinum 2016.10

I tried opening the same file in Artist (I haven't used that since I upgraded to Platinum so it's still on 2016.06) and the automation works fine.

I also tried creating a new project in Artist, also a z3ta synth with a bit of automation and again it works fine in Artist 2016.6 but when I open it in Platinum 2016.10 the automation seems to be ignored.

Any suggestions?  I could try upgrading Artist a version at a time to see if/when it breaks but I thought it might be worth asking here first in case someone can point out something I'm overlooking.  I don't particularly want to downgrade Platinum if I can avoid it as I make use of newer features in other projects.

Just tried a similar test with Dimension Pro and it behaves the same way (Artist 2016.06 follows automation, Platinum 2016.10 ignores it).

I also added some volume automation to the track and that works fine so it's just the automation of synth parameters.  Is there some kind of global setting for this that I may have changed?  The [R!] button in the toolbar looks like it should affect this but in Platinum it makes no difference whether it is toggled on or off (it does bypass the volume automation but the synth parameter automation never works).

I tried upgrading Artist and it worked up until (and including) 2016.8 but stops working with 2016.9

Anyone else have this issue?

I found a workaround to this.  If I delete the z3ta+ instance then add a new one back in I can then re-associate the orphaned automation with the new instance.  Thanks to someone in a different thread who pointed out that you can select an orphaned automation envelope using shift-click.
