Hi I was just wondering if there is a decent way to send a midi track to more than one VSTi? Like a MIDI Send or something?

Or is it the only way to have multiple midi tracks and copy the midi notes to both tracks?

Unfortunately, as handy as that would be, no there is not any such thing as a MIDI send, and yes, this has been a asked as a feature request for a while now.

I guess one way to do it would be to use something like MIDI yoke - but I have never used that so another user might advise on this.

You could copy a clip to another track and keep the clips linked, so that when you edit one, the other is also edited. Again, I have never tried that.

Some synths even allows you to embed an instance of itself in an existing instance, giving you two sounds.  Meldaproductions Mpowersynth is an example of a synth that can do this.

Personally, I think an elegant solution would be to allow MIDI sends in MIDI tracks in the same way you can add audio sends in Audio tracks.

Bome midi translator has an excellent virtual midi patchbay/router and 9 midi ports amongst it's many talents. It is a great piece of software to have in your kit. Combined with loopbe 30 you can send a midi track to 39 instruments if you like:)

I have been saying that this capability (MIDI patch points and/or one to many MIDI track routing) since ProAudio, and it turns out the only reason we don't have it yet is Bapu's intransigence. Get off the pot, Bapu, and buy the app, so the rest of us can move forward.

Enable Midi Out when you insert a vsti works.  And the same mid ouput from the first VSTi cab feed into multiple VSTi

It can be a little flaky, but i have had EZKeys send midi to lounge lizard and Kontakt.

Loopbe is the answer.

The free version gives you up to 8 MIDI ports attached to "virtual cables". If you need more, the paid-for version gives you 30.

Just watch out for MIDI feedback loops when setting up routing.

But how do you send a track to multiple vst's using only loopbe? It sets up virtual ports, but unless I have missed something there is no way to patch those ports outside of Sonars current functionality is there?
