Thanks guys, but that's not it. I created a new track and then moved the "cursor" there. I selected everything in the track, hit delete, and nothing. The weird thing is, if I select another clip (midi or audio) in a different track, then hit a num key, the clip becomes deselected and the damn cursor in the other track moves.

By the way, when I open my project, I can't see that cursor. It shows up when I press a key on the num pad.

:(

OK, I figured it out.

When I select a clip and hit a num key the cursor shows up. By mistake I hit 0 and the cursor disappeared. Now I can nudge with the num pad. I feel pretty stupid, but I guess I shouldn't. It doesn't exactly make sense.

Anyway, I hope this helps someone else who may encounter this.

Gave it my best shot. At least I learned something about really tiny clips in the process.

Congrats. I wonder what Num Pad 0 is supposed to do. That same line and move-cursor shows up when I press it. Maybe it's an accessibility thing.

Thanks for the research. I couldn't find it anywhere.

Navigate Mode is highly irritating! :D

That's there for accessibility as well as for allowing editing to be done via the V-Studio 700 Control Surface.

6 years later and this thread helped me solve a long-time conundrum. (why didn't I search sooner?)

Thanks Keebler, et al!

i posted this question a few months back but got no answer... thing is, the number pad nudge worked on midi notes but not audio clips, so I thought it was not meant for nudging clips... I'll have to try this now.
