I like using FL Studio for EDM but like others have said the workflow takes some getting used to if you are coming from another DAW. It can be a very productive tool once you get the hang of it.

It's very deep as well. You can create your own controllers and patcher is a unique tool.  The piano roll is one of the best out there. You never have to pay for an upgrade.  IF anything it is a good supplemental DAW.  It can be used in other DAWs as a VST instrument.  I find myself using the included effects more than 3rd party.

My son has stuck with FL from the beginning and can do most things possible in other DAWs and many things awkward in other programs. If electronic music is your thing, it will cover most subgenres as well as any other product.
