  • Cakewalk Command Center won't start? (SOLVED)

Has been working fine on Win10 forever until...
I installed a new GoPro (which required Quicktime ARGH) which I also installed.
Then suddenly Command Center wouldn't start. So I rebooted. Still wouldn't start.
So I uninstalled it. Rebooted. Installed it from the CC download. Still wouldn't start.
Windows says its a 32-bit app, and thinks that might be the problem? First I've heard of it.

Any ideas?
I'm completely stumped, and google couldn't find anything either.

The Command Center is a 32bit program, always has been.

...forgot to say I uninstalled Quicktime and the GoPro software too. Did a CCleaner and rebooted.

Perhaps I am wrong, but I thought there had been reports of a Windows 10 update that broke something to do with Cakewalk Command Center.

Perhaps you could review your recent update history and I will look into it more in the morning, as well.

Thanks BBone.
Nope, nothing in windows update in the last little while.
Weird that CCC wont even instantiate any more. Its just double-click/busy for a second/nothing.

SOLVED it.
Deleted "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center" and re-installed.
Everything working like it should now.

Thanks soundsubs.  I had exactly the same problem: Command Center just wouldn't start at all - just a blue circle for a few seconds then dead.

Deleting the 'C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center' folder and re-installing did the trick.  Thanks.
