ok, so I bought the QU-16 about a year ago because it is an awesome board, and even though it explicitly said that it only works with Apple, I have been hoping I could get it to work with sonar anyhow.   A&H released a windows DAW controller a few months ago.    Downloaded it.  Followed the instructions.    Can't get it work.

ok...  but I'm not giving up, so I screwed around with it and got the faders to work as an input to sonar...  not by using the DAW software, but I can't get SONAR to control the motorized faders, which... lets face it....  is nearly the whole reason I bought the thing.    Then I discovered that when I work the faders with my mouse, MIDI data isn't even transmitting out via the little midi transmitter icon that comes with SONAR, even though I have the QU hooked up as a midi out device.   So now I think I have something set up wrong in SONAR.

Can someone please help me to get SONAR to transmit control surface MIDI data?   I've confirmed that I have my control surface set up as a MIDI out device.  The devices are set up as ACT MIDI Controllers.   I don't know what else to do!

Also...  I know this is a long shot...  but if anyone has actually successfully set up a QU-16 with SONAR, can you PLEASE tell me how you did it!!

You can try A&H translator into MCU with MackieControl plug-in in Sonar, but I do not think there are benefits.

Hello Datalin,

There are two solutions. I have Azslow3's plugin which I have been using very well with Sonar. I have a QU-24. Also as indicated above they (A&H) translator for Mackie. Personally, the Azslow3's plugin gives me more functionality.
IHTH....
