Now, SONAR doesn't see my MIDI device (USB MIDI Cable), so I have no MIDI input, and I cannot set the IN/OUT of my AlphaTrack. Alphatrack is there as a control surface, but not able to set IN or OUT, so it doesn't work. Only thing new is latest update.

Hi. I had a Windows update do that to me yesterday. I had to uninstall the latest Win update, reinstall drivers to get it working again.

I'm on Win 7 with automatic updates disabled, so no changes there. My Device Manager shows my USB cable and Alphatrack as being fine.

Well, Addictive Drums standalone is not seeing my MIDI cable either, so here I go again blaming poor old SONAR when it's not its fault! Something else is up. I see the MIDI cable in device manager, so I have no idea what's going on. 

I uninstalled the MIDi cable drivers, Windows reinstalled automatically and everything seems fine. The weird thing is that neither SONAR nor AD2 standalone were seeing any MIDI devices and after only uninstalling the USB cable driver and reinstalling now SONAR and AD2 see all of my 3 MIDI devices. Weird!!!!!!

Are you sure this happened after you updated Windows and not after you updated to SONAR 2016.10? Are you sure it was the Win update that broke it? Just wondering because I'm on Win 7 and the same thing happened and the only similarity is our version of SONAR. I have a feeling that in my case it happened after I updated SONAR.

Yes, I am sure. I used SONAR the night before, after updating, without any problems.
When I started up the next day, Windows installed updates, and I did not have any AI, MIDI, Controllers, E Drums etc..

Odd! In my case the only change was the SONAR update. Thanks for your help!
