I purchased Strum Session 2 v2.1.1 as a plug in for Sonar VS. It worked fine. However after converting to Artist, I'm experiencing major latency in 2 areas. First is a delayed strum when strumming a single note chord. I have a single note Chord strum on beat 1 of a 4/4 measure along with a bass note. The bass note is heard on time, then the strummed Chord. To correct this I have to start the Strum chord in the previous measure so that it is heard in sync with the bass note. The second issue is at the beginning of the song. Beat 1/Measures 1 starts 3 individual notes of a chord close together to create a slow 3 note picked chord along with single bass note. The goal is to have the base note occur at the same time as note 1 followed by the remaining 2. 70% of the time you will hear the base note only, a pause, and then the last note of the 3. Measure 2 and on work fine. 30% of the time it works as designed. It says in sonar the mixing latency buffer size is 100 msec, 4410 samples. Effective latency is 300 msec at 44khz/stereo. I have played with this buffer size which has helped issue number 2 a little but not completely. Is there someplace else I should be looking?

Hi. If you are playing the instruments in real time, you want to get down towards 10 ms.
What kind of Audio Interface / sound card do you have, and which driver mode do you use?
All the best.

Regarding your 2nd issue, it seems like you have midi starting on measure 01:01:000

Try moving the start out to measure 2 or 3. This give everything chance to sync up when you press play

I'm using Steinberg U22. Looks like drive mode is MME

Try switching driver mode to ASIO, and lower the latency.
There will / might be an ASIO panel button you have to click on, and change latency there.

Thanks Folks. Set buffer slider to 20ms and it solved the latency with measures 2 through the end. Was able to move all the notes back to the beginning of each measure. Helped a lot with measure 1/beat 1 issue but not totally. Have not tried ASIO yet.
