  • EZDrummer Crashes 2016.10 but not other Toontrack products

So that suggests it's an EZ Drummer problem, of course, but the repeatable crash is when I attempt to remove EZD, either in the Synth rack, or by deleting the folder in the Track View.  Sometimes EZD stops producing sound even though the pattern is playing. Platinum has been rock solid until now (I think this is my first crash).  I rolled back to 2016.09 and had the same problem now, but DID NOT before upgrading to .10.

I used the Fault Reporter, and will also tell Toontrack, but if anyone has possible solutions, thanks in advance.

Are you EZD 1 or 2?

I just tested with EZD2 and didn't have any crash-crash.

Thanks for responding.  EZD2, fully updated, 64-bit.  Maybe I'll restart the computer (yes, you can laugh) because it's normally just put to sleep and hasn't restarted in a while.  Who knows???

Same thing happened to me last night. Removing EZDrummer 2 crashed Splat.

I read in a thread on the Akai forum that Focusrite has a beta driver (4.14) that is supposed to resolve crashes with some plugs.  Over there it was the VIP software.

I can now confirm (repeatable) that if EZDrummer is open, dragging another plugin across the plugin GUI locks up Sonar.  I have see if I can find the Fault Reporter page again <G>, but I am not having this problem with Studio One.  Very odd.

Nothing wrong...everything is working as usual...probably is something bad in the scarlett area...
