I was able to get it working using the "offline" method below. My DAW computer is not connected to the internet.

There are two ways you can activate CA-2A.
The first is to use Cakewalk Command Center (C3), which can be downloaded at
http://www.cakewalk.com/Command-Center. You must log into C3 with the same Cakewalk Account that has your CA-2A license. Make sure to stay logged into C3 (when exiting the applications simply close it versus logging out). When you're logged in to C3 CA2A will be able to check for your valid license and will activate automatically.
Note for Mac users: when you launch C3 it will ask you to enter your COMPUTER password first in order to elevate C3's permissions. This is required so that CA2A can be installed on your computer. Make sure to enter your computer password and click [OK]. Do not close the dialog without entering your password. Doing so may result in a failed login attempt. After providing your computer password, you can log in with your Cakewalk Account successfully. Make sure to use the correct username and password.
