Well, I have it downloaded and installed. However, when I load CA-2A SONAR completely locks up and gives me this error: cannot start C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\VCRUNTIME140.dll

I have done some google searching and am stuck in the mud.
If I get this corrected I will update with whatever voodoo I can come up with.

I don't get it through CCC, email link, or my account.  Has the link been deactivated?  I use win10, verified the current CCC version (1.1.7.1) and nothing becomes available for install.  No errors, just nothing happens when I click the link and nothing shows up anywhere else.  Suggestions?

Have you tried to update MS VS 2015 runtime? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145
Current Sonar is (99%... I have not build it ;) ) also 2015 based, but there can be tiny version mismatches inside your system. And if your have some other DAW, try to use CA-2A there (it is not Sonar locked).

I got it!  The change was moving to IE browser.  I had been using Chrome (as is my default) but as soon as I ran it through IE everything worked.  Bakers: maybe explore the differences between the two browsers?

Any further suggestions on link problems?  I have tried in IE, Firefox, and Chrome all without success. Win 10 and Win 7.  The link button doesn't bring a download page.

I was able to get it working using the "offline" method below.  My DAW computer is not connected to the internet.

Direct from the Bakers...

There are two ways you can activate CA-2A.

The first is to use Cakewalk Command Center (C3), which can be downloaded at http://www.cakewalk.com/Command-Center. You must log into C3 with the same Cakewalk Account that has your CA-2A license. Make sure to stay logged into C3 (when exiting the applications simply close it versus logging out). When you're logged in to C3 CA2A will be able to check for your valid license and will activate automatically.

Note for Mac users: when you launch C3 it will ask you to enter your COMPUTER password first in order to elevate C3's permissions. This is required so that CA2A can be installed on your computer. Make sure to enter your computer password and click [OK]. Do not close the dialog without entering your password. Doing so may result in a failed login attempt. After providing your computer password, you can log in with your Cakewalk Account successfully. Make sure to use the correct username and password.

If your computer is offline or you aren't using C3, we also have an Offline Activation procedure. Steps can be located at https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013384/Offline-Activation#CA2A
