Very good advice Sir Hammer - thank you.

Though, I've tried all that (not much in the way of 32-bit plugins left here) and the system still crashes...

This next project I intend to use no UA plugins to see how it goes.

Maybe UA will update their drivers in the mean-time...!

It's a new laptop with win10 preinstalled so I have nothing to roll back to.

Alienware 17 R3
Intel i7
16gb ram
128 SSD
500gb SSD
Intel video
nVidia video
Soundblaster Recon 3Di
Windows 10 Home 64 bit (1607 14393.321)

Are you running 2 video devices ?
if so I recommend to disable one of that.

I'm doing that now & will see if it makes a difference.

Factory plugs
Some n-Track plugs
Some Overtones
No UA plugs

I don't use the onboard sound tho I'm sure there's nothing wrong with it. I use a MOTU audo express or a behringer ufx1204usb which sometimes won't load all the way. It will show up in the sound device window with no meters and no sound tho windows says its working properly. Behringer drivers aren't the best.

Another cause on some systems for issues
have been disabled  onboard sound chips.

I saw some blue screens (watchdog) in Sonar on win10 due to bad usb cable, so..

Several months ago, U-he announced that, while they were releasing VST3 editions of their plug-ins, it was recommended that the VST2 were more stable. I did find this to be the case (although recently I haven't noticed a difference.) I wonder if this may have some impact on what you're seeing?

FWIW, UA sent a response stating that they should be releasing their new Windows 10 drivers next Thursday. (November 3rd.)

Yellowtools Engine is causing a lot of crashing in my setup.
Win 10 64 bit,  Sonar Plat Pro.
If you can get your project to load, then either freeze the dodgy plugin or bounce it to an audio track, then delete it.

Updated title to reflect windows 10 influence. I've never had these issues in windows 7 and never used windows 8.
