Hi
I am configuring a new DAW PC when I am off work.  I have a couple of dongles - one from iLok and another that I cannot tell who it is from.  As I have gotten older, I have forgotten who I purchased stuff from that required a dongle.

Do you remember anyone besides Pace/iLok?

I hate these things.  But I fear I have a couple of paid VSTs that are authorized on that second mystery dongle and I would like to get them back.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You need to install eLicenser Control Center and iLok License Manager.
Then plugin your dongles. With this programs you should see what is licenced on the dongles.

Hi SC:
I've been right where you are.  I seem to remember that Steinberg had some libraries that used a dongle other than ilok.

Good luck!

Steinberg had/has a dongle.  I used it for the Neve EQ/Comp. I don't know what else they used it for.  That is the only other dongle I can remember other than iLok.

Logic used to have one. And Steinberg used it for Cubase too.

Thanks all.  Maybe it is the eLicenser I am thinking of.  Hey THambrecht.  I have 2 FF800s.  Amazing pieces of gear - no?  I hope I get another 10 years out of them.  Never seen another product that was quite as alluring.  I can push mine down to 1.5msec latency!

Yes, definitely Steinberg. I once had their Halion sampler and that required a dongle

The eLicenser is used for Steinberg products as well as VSL software and sample libraries. iLok is used by EastWest and UVI

The original Korg digital synths had a dongle.
